Diamond of the Ball 2025

I'm late to posting this for Bal des Debutantes in Paris 2025 because I almost didn't want to pick a winner because I felt like all the fashion choices were weird this time. It's like everyone borrowed a gown from their great aunt's closet or something. At first, you would think Carolina Herrera granddaughter's polka dot gown would be the best, but she messed it up with the hair....uhm flipped hair was 2024. Feels outdated here. It dawned on me that the hair does make a big difference for overall look. The hairdo that really stood out for me was Alice Wang and Eirini Zarifi perfect bangs up-do...

The hair is on-point, but Eirini's dress was too mother-of-the-bride-y,
so the diamond of the ball title goes to....

Alice Wang! Daughter of BYD founder Chuanfu Wang and Stella Li.
Her jewel-tone magenta Vera Wang gown popped out of the crowd---she looks like the cool rebel of the group. I also loved that she kept the jewelry minimal and had on a ribbon floral choker, which is different.

The backside with the cascading petals looks pretty spectacular too:

Yep, the dress stood out of the crowd here:
What are your thoughts for 2025 fashion here?

Flip Bob Hair Trend Per Golden Globes 2024

I am thrilled that there is a another refreshing way to style a bob hair cut. The flipped bob is back in thanks to these Golden Globes looks...
America Ferrera's whole outfit is actually my favorite from the Golden Globes!
I love a floor-length column dress on a petite stature!
She is on point with the hair, the layered tennis necklace, and the sequins!
Ayo Edebiri also trending with the column style dress but ankle length.
But the showstopper for me is the hair! Simple, cute and sleek at the same time!
Finally, queen of the evening Emma Stone in her flip lob!

Are you inspired to flip out the hair now?

Bouncy Curls Bob hairstyle trend for 2023

Seems like 2023 is all about the big bouncy curls that grazes the shoulder or neckline.

I first saw this hairstyle on the luxurious influencer, Heart Evangelista, at Milan's fashion week 2023 a few weeks ago and couldn't stop thinking about how to recreate the look ever since...

Then we got confirmation of the trend when Zendaya dazzled in this hairstyle and jewels for the 2023 SAG awards this weekend:

Just gorgeous!

Also Aubrey Plaza rocked a similar hairstyle at the awards night as well:

I can't wait to see more people trying out this hairstyle!
Cause, seriously, I was getting tired of the beach waves with the fried/straight ends look.
These curls are so refreshing!

It's November Already

Is it just me, or did 2021 go by real fast? Only two months till the end...

For some reason, there has been no notable fashion trend that moved me much this year.

I mean, if I had to pick something to buy for Christmas though, this golden lobster-appliqué sweater is awesome! I always love a fun shellfish theme!

From Wolf & Badger (by Laines London $155)

And if I had to pick anything trendy that I would try for 2021 going into 2022, that would be the "shag" hairdo, especially a cute shaggy bob like these...

What 2021 trends do you covet?

Blunt Bob Haircut, Midi Skirt, Chunky Sweater, and Sneakers Goal

While scrolling through various online retailers recently, I keep seeing this recurring blunt bob hairstyle on the models that is making me wish for a fresh haircut!

Clockwise: LOFT, H&M, GAP, ANTROPOLOGIE

As for clothing trends right now, I would totally wear these outfits: cropped sweater or jacket, midi skirt, and tennis shoes....comfortable and timeless. The question is, can a short person like myself look good in these compared to the tall models?

Three Casual Fall Hits

1. Back-to-school Sweats: I'm no longer in school, but suddenly I am drawn to hoodies and sweatshirts again. Maybe this could be the adult "work-from-home" attire. The men's department have been killing it with the monotone styling:

2. Curly Sue Hair: Fun fact, I had permed spiral curly hair throughout my adolescent years, but the curls never looked this good. Maybe in an alternate universe...

3. Colored Denim Jackets: better yet, combine all in one...curly hair, sweats, and denim jacket!

Hair goals

Hair cut and style is maybe more important than clothing style when it comes to looking good. Thus, this post is dedicated to hairstyle ideas!

Doesn't this Forever 21 stock model look like a modern-day Brigitte Bardot?

I'm digging the boy haircut and blazer and brooch too at Zara:
