Style Inspiration

When life throws you a curveball, and everything changes instantly, it is a scary and painful feeling.  Then you are stuck wondering when things will get better, continue to get worse, or how to recover from it all.

Right now, I am focusing on the now, trying to stay positive, and finding myself again, or rather changing myself to not dwell on the past or what should have been, and to move forward.

What seems therapeutic for me is finding the things that give me joy such as making lists of the beautiful things that I hope to aspire.

Currently into:

1. Home decor that is feminine and soft.

2. Fashion art: Saw this at HomeGoods and wanting to research on more about these vintage Vogue magazine art covers.

3. I still love stripes and flutter sleeves.

4. Flowy peplum hem and flutter sleeves combined in a crisp cotton material - the perfect top! One day, I hope to learn to use a sewing machine to make my own tops like this

Or sleeveless version like this:

End of Summer Favorites

August, when you are trying to hold on to summer with the sweltering heat and looking forward to the Fall, here's what I'm into lately:

1. Oversized Graphic Tee's: especially European vacation-theme print

2. Woven ballet flats: not too comfortable, but looks so pretty and delicate

3. Oversized Boxy Peplum Tops: it's like a dress but not

4. Patchwork Quilt Jacket: for cozy chilly mornings ahead

5. This Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres painting: perfect image of Fall fashion inspiration to come

What inspires you in August?
