My purple room

I was cleaning out my old Anthropologie catalogs, and the October 2010 issue page 37 caught my eye!
Sophie Quilt by Fred Shand 093461 ($398-$498)

I always wanted a quilt-style comforter just like that for my dream bedroom! Country yet modern. But $300+ for a set like that? Oh no! Maybe someday, but for now, I settle for Walmart. I'm happy I found this purple comforter set that fits my budget and style! Only $44.88!
(I bought mine in-store, but it's also sold online)
Welcome to my new purple bedroom! It's still quite bare. I only have a lamp bought at the local thrift store, simple bed-frame that my dad built for me, a full-size bed, and these adorable wire-teacups I found at Ross to decorate the shelving above my bed (I don't know why I still have the tags on them though).
Ahh, purple makes me happy! However, I hope to incorporate some pop of orange and yellow to my room in the future!
Where do you buy your bedding?

I heart purple! It is my favorite color and I love the deep purple tones in your room. I'm really impressed that your dad built your bed frame!!

The color scheme in our bedroom is celadon and purple. My original bedding was this purple damask pattern from Target(?) and loved it but when we upgraded to a King-sized bed, we had to get a new comforter set this time from Macy's. It's really hard to find a good purple set!

I like the way you redecorate your bedroom interior, Olyvia. Even though it’s not yet fully furnished, I can say that it’s still a room—with minimalistic theme. Anyway, if you’re planning to add some yellow to the space, I suggest that you choose a pale shade. Canary or powder yellow will do. These can create a good balance in your cozy bedroom.

That's a great idea, William! I'll think about adding some pale yellow to the purple room!
