Tailored Long Coat is Best Fall Trend for 2022

When it comes to fashion trends for Fall/Winter cold weather, it's been a long streak with Olivia Palermo as leader of the pack. This year, I'm feeling this long ankle length A-line, tailored coat with a fitted military vibe and shiny double-breasted buttons. If OP posts pictures of her coat three times on her Instagram and also in the IG stories, then you know, this is the "IT" item to put in your fashion inspiration bucket list!

A running contender of amazing Fall/Winter outerwear is Wendy from Wendy's Lookbook, who shares more affordable items and more petite-friendly sizing for us little ladies. When she posted this lovely long ivory coat in her IG stories, it provided confirmation that the long tailored coat is definitely the trend of the year!

I honestly love the practicality of the length to shield cold legs, especially when one must wear a cute short dress underneath and not yet in the mood for thick stockings or clunky boots.

Best Voting Day Outfit Ever

In retrospect, the best fashion moment of 2020 has got to be this ensemble by Olivia Palermo. Her outfit sums up everything about 2020...sage coat (the trendy grey-green color of the year), face mask (COVID 19 pandemic), and voting sticker (most dire or at least most enthusiastic presidential election period of our generation). 

She is the outerwear queen!

Current favorite author

As mentioned previously, I spent a period during my teen years reading everything Jane Austen. I go through phases where I read everything I can from one author, based on a book I enjoy.  (I prefer older fiction for some reason). My current phase is P.G. Wodehouse. My goal is to read all his books this year. I love the glamour and hilarious humor his stories have. I recommend his books if you are a romance-comedy type of person. This is the book that started it all for me:
