Botanical Print

I remember when I started joining the blogging community on here, everyone referenced either Atlantic Pacific or 9to5chic for outfit inspirations, and they both still continue to be great influencers! While Atlantic Pacific's style is more colorful and whimsical, Anh from 9to5chic is more neutral and business oriented. However, the most influential outfits from Anh for me are her vacation outfits. For instance, this dress she posted on her IG in 2020, is still stuck in my head today!

This botanical print! Love!

The closest thing I found to this print today is this Tuckernuck Dress:

Please take me away on vacation with this print!

Fig toast for breakfast

It seems like such a long time ago since I had a food post on here. Maybe because I haven't been excited about any personal food creations until today! My parent's magical garden has been overflowing with these brown turkey figs, so I decided to make some breakfast out of it.
With the trend of the avocado toast on social media lately, I was inspired to create a "fig" version. After all, avocados are so darn expensive especially with the drought in California. Did you know, figs grow nicely in drought environment?

Anyhow, here's the ingredients for my breakfast fig toast: 1 fig fruit (thinly sliced), 1 toasted piece of bread, 1 teaspoon of honey, and 1 banana.
I smooshed half of the banana with one teaspoon of honey to made a creamy spread and sticky base to place my fig slices on...
Pile the figs on top to make them pretty, and wala! It's like eating healthy dessert for breakfast!
Side note: the mint leaves are also from my parent's garden :)
May also drizzle some more honey, caramel sauce, or sprinkle powdered sugar or cinnamon on top for the sweet tooth. This will help the bowels moving as well as avocados (but less green if you know what I mean) haha! Highly recommend growing a fig tree in the garden!

Louis Vuitton Malletage

I'm not much of a high fashion, expensive designer person (too fickle and too cheap to expend $3,550.00), but man, oh man, this purse has got me reeling (as seen on Kristina Bazan's instagram)! My favorite part is the unique cornflower-denim blue color, which I can envision to be versatile with many outfits. The white diagonal grid design brings out the blue even better! I think this might be my first time smitten by a designer handbag!

Cute round pepper

My parent's garden never seizes to surprises me with wonderful, whimsical plants! Too bad I did not inherit their love of gardening (since I'm too deathly afraid of insects that inhabit such areas, haha). This time, my parents surprised me with an indoor plant. Isn't this the cutest pepper you've ever seen?
It's like a mini pumpkin!
Here's how it compares to a bunch of lemons (also from my parent's garden).
That's where it came from! Isn't it pretty? My dad was actually gifted this pepper plant without a label, so not sure what this variety is called. I'll have to research it some other time. I haven't tasted it either, but my mom said it's mild in spice.

I should really start a photo album of my parent's garden plants. It's like a botanical garden over there. Here's a few other interesting plants I took pictures of last year:
Purple Cactus that blooms yellow flowers.
 Hot Pink Cherry Blossoms
And look at those weird gothic purple plants growing out of the geraniums below!

In shopping news, I'm just going crazy over Forever21 outerwear right now. My current favorites are:
I've been debating on which ones to order and decided to only pick 2 of them. Future post to come! Any great finds at Forever21 lately? Please share!
