Favorite Instagram to Follow for Summer Fashion

This girl, Alexandra Pereira, a fellow petite influencer, has the best summer fashion photos and videos on her instagram. She definitely portrays a life of never ending vacation resorts. Here are some of my favorite trends she is sporting this summer:

Puff sleeve midi dress with V-neckline - I had thought only tall girls like Kate Middleton could rock this midi dress look with so much fabric, but I'm thrilled that a petite girl like Alexandra showed me wrong!
Dainty small seashells jewelry - A glimpse of some seashells earrings on Forever 21 models piqued my interest last time, but now, this necklace has convinced me it is the rage for summer beach vibes.
Top with Wide Ruffle Straps: perfect style to wear for taking selfies and love the coverage (a win for us girls who don't like to show off too much skin) while leaving the arms open for the breeze on hot sticky weather.

Dip Hem Engagement

The star of my recent engagement photo shoot is definitely this Amy Lynn Bardot Prom Skater Dress in Floral Print (from ASOS). It was fate when I decided to order the last size XS on a whim, and was shocked the length fits well for me. I only had to do some minor slimming at the waist/torso. Also my first time wearing an "off-shoulder " style and I love it!
Here's how the dress looked for my Baroque-fairy-tale inspired engagement shoot:

This dress made me feel like a princess!
I am now a new fan of off-shoulder (or Bardot), hi-low (or dip hem) gowns.
Here's some very similar dresses at Chi Chi London:
Fenna Dress (in solid navy)
Heloise Dress (in red)
Louise dress (in black)
Cora Dress (in nude)
Jannah Dress (in teal)
Shauna Dress (in multi floral)
Serenity Dress (in pink floral)
Pandora Dress (in white floral)
Kerris Dress (in navy floral)
Carol Dress (in lilac)
Simone Dress (in blue and white)
Meryl Dress (in white!)

Tissot's Floral Print

My infatuation with James Tissot's picturesque fashion in his paintings continues...
Clearly, he has a thing for this printed dress:
 The Captain's Daughter, 1873
Richmond Bridge (Declaration of Love), 1878           The Elder Sister, 1881
Le Banc de jardin (The Garden Bench), 1883

ASOS pretty dress alert

I'm not needing another fancy dress in my stuffed closet, but boy, this is one is breathtaking!
Anyone going to a garden party or wedding?
I recommend this:
The print somehow reminds of Grace Kelly's floral dress in Rear Window
Love the pleated details and pockets!
Ah, so pretty! See it on blogger Gary Pepper Girl

Spring formal wear

Invited to a "formal" party in springtime? What to wear?!

Let's look in the closet....
- Long floor-sweeping evening dress?  none.
- Flowing Grecian style dress as seen on red carpets? none.
- Sequin dress? ....eh, too Christmas-y.
- Little black dress? ...eh, length too short, too cocktail.
- Maybe spring pastel-colored dress? none.
- Satin dress?  yes! I have two! halter blue one is...yuck, awkward midi length...needs to be altered.....which leaves the emerald dress....last styled for Petite Fashion Challenge #4 back in 2010 for Christmas party:
So this is the fanciest evening dress I own that fits :(
Luckily, "emerald" is color of the year :)

Just need more colorful accessories...but definitely avoid gold, red, and black (winter holiday colors).
All I could find is my blue Forever21 Sparkling Teardrop necklace (reviewed here
Any other ideas how I should style an emerald dress for springtime formal event?
Oh, great suggestion! Floral heels...like these pretty Manolo Blahnik 'BB' Pump...swoon!
