Cottagecore Pretty Dress Alert

Still on a high of Cottagecore dress styles...I found one that is totally Queen Victoria approved! Even the price tag is fit for a royal...

I love it so much, I have to post the dress at all angles here:

Tuckernuck Lilac Yvonne Print Flutter Sleeve Dress ($395)

Has all the right elements: ditsy floral print, cotton fabric, ruffles, tiers, and lace.

Bridgerton Vibes

I've been noticing a lot of interesting online apparel shops popping up on the internet these days...this site caught my eye for vintage styles. This dress is totally what I would wear to a Bridgerton-theme party...

Simple Retro

Vanessa Chiffon Printed Midi Dress ($79.99)

So pretty and innocent, lol!

Game of Thrones Cape Dress

I'm still on a high with cape dresses.
Especially inspired by Daenerys cape dresses from Season 5 of Game of Thrones:
Remember this striking Prada dress on Diane Kruger at the Golden Globes this year?
Isn't it similar to Daenerys' dress above?
FYI, found an almost dupe (minus the cape) at ASOS:
Too bad the dress does not come in white, otherwise, I would totally be on it for a wedding dress.

Speaking of, while researching on "white cape dresses" I came across these photos from Star Wars (1977).

Woah, eerily similar to Game of Thrones.
Even the hairstyles are similar!
Perhaps Games of Thrones designers were inspired from Star Wars. Either way, I love both looks!
Can't get over how perfect this whole costume is:

The best of red white and blue

Need I say more?

Also see the dress on socialite Nellie Diamond (also here).

I learned about Nell Diamond from an editorial in Vogue on her wedding and I have been hooked on her Instagram account since! She's like a real-life character in a fashion movie and almost reminds of Rebecca Bloomwood, since she has movie-star looks and outfits that are delightfully whimsical and sweet!

Gingham Check Off Shoulder Dress

I am completely smitten by Carin Olsson from Paris in Four Months. She has one of the best snap stories with her travels. A real life girl living the dream from fashion magazine pages full of pretty things, luxury hotels, flowers, and sweet treats. I also dig her wardrobe style! On her current excursion to Lisbon, Portugal, I was enticed by her little gingham dress. At first, I was so happy to find that it is from Zara for sale price $29.99, but of course the dress was already sold out in all sizes by the time she posted the information. As luck would have it, I found an identical dress (probably from the same maker) at Forever 21 for only $24.90, even better!

Identical huh?
Stay tune for review on dress once I get it in the mail ;)

Romantic ideas

Gorgeous stock photos from Anthro...
I'm digging the interesting hemline of the evening dress where it's shoe-revealing in front and sweeping in the back. Also spotted a similar silhouette at H&M...must be the new thing!
When it comes to shoes for fancy dresses for spring/summer weddings, I love these delicate, barely-there gold strap heels:

In the mood for scallops

Ever since I saw 9to5chic's black Marysia Mott swimsuit on instagram, (also two-piece version on The College Prepster) the scallop halter neckline has been on my mind. So elegant and pretty! But $315 eek! I'm sure there will be cheaper alternatives coming to town...like this

Old Navy Scallop-Trim Jacquard Swimsuit ($39.94) - but has bad reviews
 ($50 $35 with code GETIT30)
Ah so pretty! Not sure about the "crepe" material though and I haven't shopped from Misguided before, thus iffy on quality.

This cool Anthropologie Scalloped Poplin Tank by Maeve has good reviews but pricey ($68)
This ASOS Racer Front Scallop Edge Cami ($30.50) top in white is lovely too!
Speaking of scalloped necklines and hemlines, I thought this was just a popular trend among style bloggers these past few years, but evidently...it's a classic! Spotted on the cool Francois Hardy in the 1960's!

Favorite LBD styles for winter parties

Happy holidays, my friends!
Poinsettias are always a great gift!
(picture from last year's at my house)

These little black dresses below are festive and fun:

H&M (sale $35 updated as of  7/26/15)
Sequins to sparkle and tulle to sweep under the flickering candlelights!
Here's how it looks on me: I appreciate that the tulle overlay over the sequins prevents the "uncomfortable hard-scratchiness" as with most sequined items. The sparkly fitted tube-style underneath paired with the ballerina-like tulle is so much fun! I feel elegant and saucy at the same time.

Other Ideas: how cool is the back of this dress...
(comes in Petite sizes too)

"Oohzing" over this cute LBD on ASOS...

The librarian

Every Fall and Winter, I gravitate towards anything that looks like the stereotypical "librarian" or "bookstore clerk." Lately, I've been loving these outfits that gives that vibe...

($478 - too expensive for a librarian though)

Also been obsessed with the "tailored vest" as seen on Cee from To Brighten My Day (also here). It's like wearing a blazer to look smart, but appearing less stuffy and more creative! Loving this flap-pockets grey wool one from Anthropologie
Speaking of libraries/bookstores...how hot is this guy sitting among books?
